Troubles come, they come in the day and in the night. I can't tell ya'll how many times I want to throw in the towel and just…snap. Then, I hear Jesus in this Scripture speak to me loud and clear, “Take heart!” and I listen. Before that, He says, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace.” He goes on to say that in this world, we will have trouble. Not that we may, but that we will. Jesus made Salvation as easy as saying “I believe” (with your heart, of course). But He never shies away from the cross we bear for that Salvation. He is clear that because we represent a different Kingdom, a better world, we will face opposition in this current one. This week has been great; I've completed my album, had a video shoot, and received good grades, among other things. But of course, with every second of joy in this life, there must come a moment of life be lifing' and oh boy it did. I've been attacked spiritually (nightmares, strange occurrences, etc.), to awkward conversations concerning family choices, and today I was dealing with the big-headed snobbishness of some people. I called my wife, and she gave me some encouraging words of patience, to add to what God was speaking to me through His Holy Spirit, along with the kindness that I received from someone, and a great conversation with co-workers. All we have to do when adversity comes is be still and stay calm. Romans 8:28 says all things work for our good; this is a reality to me as I continue to run this race. So if you feel like life is throwing every punch, tag God in; no one can hotbox with Jesus. He suffered it all so that we can endure more. God bless you!
